Hue Countryside Tour – Tam Giang Lagoon Tour (B/L)

Our team will meet you at your hotel around 8:45-9:00 am. Start your cycling trip by passing by communal houses along the river's canals, rice fields, and the Thanh Toan bridge. Upon arrival at Thuy Thanh village, you will have some time to explore the local market, followed by a visit to the Agricultural Museum to learn about the tools used by farmers in Vietnam (plows, sickles, hoes, rice-hulling mills). Well off the usual tourist trail lies the biggest cemetery in the country, locally known as City of Ghosts. After Vietnamese reunification in 1975, many residents of An Bang Village emigrated to Europe and the USA. From here, they sent money back to their relatives who stayed behind, making it one of the wealthiest villages in Vietnam. According to the villagers’ beliefs, having a meticulously cared for and decorated tomb will bring the family good fortune. All this makes the cemetery a piece of art! Later, drive to An Truyen village, where you will embark on the motor sampan to visit Dam Chuon, in the Tam Giang lagoon – the biggest lagoon system in South East Asia. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the local life on the lagoon. You will visit a local fishermen's family, where you could learn how to catch fish in a very unique way.
