Hanoi tops the list of 'World's most delicious food destinations'

Travelers' Choice Best of the Best is a prestigious annual award given based on reviews and opinions from the travel community over a 12-month period. In the Best Culinary Destination category, Hanoi capital was honored in the highest order.

Bun cha, Trang Tien ice cream, and egg coffee... are famous dishes in Hanoi rated 4 to 4.5 stars on Tripadvisor. With many typical dishes, Vietnam's capital increasingly attracts many tourists, especially gourmets from all over the world. Previously, many traditional dishes of Hanoi were continuously voted on by international media and included in the must-try list such as Pho, banh mi, spring rolls...

In 2023, for the first time, Michelin Guide came to Vietnam and announced a list of 103 recommended restaurants (48 in Hanoi and 55 in Ho Chi Minh City), of which 4 are recognised with one Michelin Star. Hanoi has 3 restaurants receiving this honor, demonstrating the development of the Capital's cuisine. After the Michelin Guide came to Hanoi, Hanoi dishes became more known.

In addition to Hanoi, Phuket and Chiang Mai are two destinations in Southeast Asia that also appear in the top 25, with Phuket ranked 10th and Chiang Mai ranked 17th.

Also in the Best of the Best Awards rankings voted by tourists, Hanoi ranked 4th in the Top 25 world's leading destinations in 2023. Hoi An ranked 10th, Bali ranked second, Bangkok ranked 15th. and Phuket is in 8th place. In addition, Hoi An also ranks second in the list of ideal destinations for honeymoons, only after Bali (Indonesia).
