Nvidia CEO Explores Vietnamese Culture and Street Food Delights in Hanoi

Jensen Huang, the CEO of U.S. chip making giant Nvidia, made headlines during his recent visit to Vietnam as he delved into the rich tapestry of Hanoi's street food.

He spent time experiencing the culture and lifestyle of Vietnamese people. Dressed simply in a T-shirt and black jeans, the technology director blended into the lively atmosphere of Hanoi city.

Mr. Huang started his journey of culinary discovery at a busy sidewalk restaurant on Luong Ngoc Quyen Street. He sat on a plastic chair, enjoyed snails, rolls and drank beer with the staff who accompanied him on the trip. After that, the CEO stopped by a restaurant on Hang Non street to enjoy beef pho and drink coconut water. His "culinary tour" also included a goose hotpot restaurant in Hang Thiec and egg coffee at Café Giang, one of the oldest coffee shops in Hanoi on Nguyen Huu Huan street, and took photos with Hanoi people.

Before Huang, some technology CEOs also showed love for street food in Vietnam. Participating online at AI Day 2023 this week in Ho Chi Minh City, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said he loves Vietnamese sandwich banh mi and this is a regular dish on his menu. In 2015, Google CEO Sundar Pichai also chatted intimately at a sidewalk lemon tea shop in Hanoi and enjoyed Vietnamese cuisine.

Ultimately, Nvidia CEO's culinary journey is not just about enjoying delicious food but also about understanding the people and unique culture of Hanoi. This not only provides moments of enjoyment, but also opens a new window, connecting the technology leader with the local community and culture.
