Together, we stand with Myanmar

Together, we stand with Myanmar

At the end of March, a powerful earthquake struck central Myanmar, causing significant disruption across multiple regions. The tremors damaged homes, disrupted infrastructure, and left many families in urgent need of basic supplies such as food, clean water, and shelter.

While local and international aid has begun to reach the affected areas, many families are still in urgent need of support to recover from this natural disaster. The aftermath of the earthquake continues to be a stark reminder of the vulnerability of communities in the face of such events.

In response to this crisis, Realistic Asia quickly reached out to our team in Myanmar to offer timely assistance to those most affected. Together, we coordinated the delivery of essential supplies including rice, daily necessities, and water purifiers to families in Mandalay and Sagaing.

Understanding the urgent need for clean drinking water, our team in Myanmar also helped facilitate the purchase of additional water filtration systems, ensuring more households could access safe water in the days following the disaster.

This support was made possible through Realistic Asia’s Sustainable Travel Fund — a special fund where $20 from every booked tour package is contributed to humanitarian and environmental projects.

We are deeply thankful to our travelers and partners across the globe. Thanks to your continued support, we are able to maintain the Sustainable Fund—not only for disaster response, but for other projects, meaningful initiatives that give back to the communities.

We are also incredibly touched that some of our customers reached out to us personally, expressing a sincere desire to help the people of Myanmar. These gestures of solidarity remind us that our travel community is built not just on curiosity and adventure, but on kindness and connection.

To the people of Myanmar, we send our deepest condolences to those who have suffered losses, and our strongest encouragement as you work toward recovery. Your courage and unity are truly inspiring.

We believe in Myanmar’s strength and future. May the country recover swiftly and come back even stronger—welcoming travelers once again to discover its rich culture, warm hospitality, and stunning landscapes. Together, we look forward to seeing tourism in Myanmar thrive once more.
