A festival celebrating Phở, the iconic Vietnamese noodle dish, from all three regions of Vietnam will take place at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi from April 18 to 20.
The 2025 Phở Festival will include over 50 stalls, each offering different regional takes on the dish, allowing visitors to explore the rich variety of Phở flavors from across the country.
A special spotlight will be placed on "Phở Hà Nội" to honor it as a key element of Vietnam’s intangible cultural heritage and to boost Hanoi's culinary tourism industry.
Guests will have the opportunity to taste Phở styles unique to different parts of Vietnam, each with its distinct ingredients and cooking methods.
Throughout the three-day event, various activities will be held, including a historical exhibition showcasing the origins and evolution of Phở.
Interactive workshops will also give visitors a chance to learn how to make Phở and Quẩy (crispy fried dough sticks typically served with the noodles).
Organized by the Hanoi administration, the festival will also feature live performances and cultural programs designed to promote the heritage and culinary value of Phở to both domestic and international visitors.
