How to get there: 

- By Air: The nearest major airport is Guilin Liangjiang International Airport (KWL), located about 65 kilometers (40 miles) from Yangshuo. From the airport, you can take a bus, taxi, or private transfer to Yangshuo. The journey typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours.

- By Train: Yangshuo is accessible via the Guilin Railway Station or Guilin North Railway Station. From Guilin, you can take a bus or taxi to Yangshuo, with the journey taking approximately 1.5 hours.

- By Bus: Several long-distance buses connect Guilin to Yangshuo, departing from the Guilin Bus Station. The bus ride takes about 1.5 hours and is a convenient option for travelers.

Ways to get around the city:

- Bicycles: Yangshuo is well-known for its bike-friendly environment. Renting a bicycle is a popular way to explore the town and its scenic surroundings. Many guesthouses and rental shops offer bikes for rent.

- Electric Scooters: E-scooters are available for rent and offer a convenient and fun way to get around Yangshuo. They are ideal for covering longer distances or exploring the countryside.

- Taxis and Ride-Sharing: Taxis and ride-sharing services like Didi are available in Yangshuo. They are useful for getting to more distant attractions or for travelers who prefer a more comfortable mode of transportation.

Best time to visit

- Spring (March to May): Spring offers mild temperatures and blooming flowers, making it an excellent time to explore Yangshuo’s outdoor attractions. The weather is generally pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F).

- Autumn (September to November): Autumn is another ideal time to visit, with comfortable temperatures and clear skies. The temperatures are similar to spring, and the fall foliage adds to the scenic beauty of the area.

- Summer (June to August): Summer in Yangshuo can be hot and humid, with temperatures often exceeding 30°C (86°F). This is a peak tourist season, so attractions may be crowded. If visiting during this time, be prepared for the heat and occasional rain.

- Winter (December to February): Winter is cooler, with temperatures ranging from 5°C to 15°C (41°F to 59°F). While it’s less crowded, the weather can be chilly and damp. Winter offers a quieter experience with lower prices for accommodations.

LI RIVER CRUISE

One of the main attractions in Yangshuo is the Li River cruise, which offers some of the most breathtaking scenery in China. The cruise typically runs from Guilin to Yangshuo, passing through dramatic karst formations, lush landscapes, and traditional villages. The journey provides a serene and picturesque experience, with opportunities to enjoy the stunning river views and take memorable photographs.

MOON HILL

Moon Hill is a striking natural arch located about 8 kilometers (5 miles) from Yangshuo. The arch, resembling a crescent moon, offers panoramic views of the surrounding karst landscape. Visitors can hike up to the top of Moon Hill via a well-maintained path with several viewpoints along the way. The climb is moderately challenging but rewards hikers with incredible vistas and the unique experience of seeing the "moon" up close.

YULONG RIVER

The Yulong River, often considered a more tranquil alternative to the Li River, meanders through a picturesque landscape of rice paddies and karst hills. YANGSHUO PARK
